In pledging yourself to Zeta Tau Alpha, you become a member of an International Organization. You will assume certain obligations including attendance at meeting and social functions, financial responsibilities, as well as service and philanthropy work. You will be asked to dedicate your time, creative energy, and loyalty to help build and shape an organization that continues to change to meet the needs of its members. The more you put into Zeta Tau Alpha, the more you will be rewarded as you grow and evolve both as an individual and as a member of a special sisterhood.
Zeta Tau Alpha offers each member the opportunity to develop to her fullest potential while maintaining a balance between academic, leadership, community service, and social endeavors. The motto of Zeta Tau Alpha, "Seek the Noblest", can be seen through leadership positions held by Zetas in many Texas A&M campus organizations. Our campus involvement includes such organizations as Fish Camp, CARPOOL, Order of Omega, Student Government, Muster Hosts and many more.
Our participation in such community services as Replant, Big Event, and raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness is also an important part of being a Zeta Tau Alpha. Social functions provide another way to spend time with our sisters. These events include themed mixers, date parties, movie nights, and slumber parties are our house.
Most importantly, however, membership in Zeta Tau Alpha brings something new and wonderful to our lives - friends who we can call sisters and will last a lifetime. ZTA membership provides a group of women who will celebrate your victories, share your sorrows, encourage you to do better, and pat you on the back when you fail to recognize you tried your best. Sorority recruitment is a mutual selection process that is filled with activities designed to offer prospective members the chance to learn about the sororities in a concentrated period of time. It is an opportunity for students to meet the sorority members, ask questions, define financial obligations, time commitments, and membership requirements. Whether or not you decide to join a Sorority, formal recruitment is a great way to meet people and get acquainted with life at Texas A&M University.
Block party is one day event where incoming freshman women and their parents, or any current/incoming college women can tour sorority row and ask questions, see the houses and meet the chapters! This is a very fun and illuminating event!
